(Alliance News) - Industrie De Nora Spa announced Tuesday that its subsidiary De Nora India Limited has entered into an agreement to take advantage of the services of a new workshop in India, an industrial property located near the city of Vadodara in Gujrat State, to meet the needs of the local market in terms of electrode servicing.

The new workshop, inaugurated yesterday with a ceremony attended by local top management, will be totally dedicated to the Electrode Technolgies segment, De Nora's traditional core business, which supplies electrodes for major industrial electrochemical processes. "This territorial presidium will allow the company to respond even more effectively and reactively to the growing demand for electrode-related services locally, taking advantage of a new specialized center for electrode mechanical repairs," the company specified in a note.

The new facility complements the Goa production facility, De Nora's headquarters in India and a center of excellence dedicated to chlor-alkali processes, which has been meeting the technical and professional expectations and needs of regional customers since 1989 in terms of electrode production and technical support. In fact, the Goa plant is a state-of-the-art complex covering more than 26,000 square meters, equipped with state-of-the-art plant and machinery.

Industrie De Nora's stock is up 0.1 percent at EUR14.22 per share.
