Idemitsu Kosan Co.,Ltd. announced that at the board of directors meeting held on December 18, 2018, it has resolved the changes to its officers. The changes to the officers mentioned below will be officially determined at the company's board of directors meeting scheduled to be held on April 1, 2019, subject to a condition precedent that the share exchange, which was approved at the company's extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held on December 18, 2018, becomes effective. Tomonori Okada as Representative Director, Executive Vice President, Executive Officer Manufacturing & Technology, Energy Solution, and Technology Commodity. Tomonori Okada currently, Representative Director, Vice President, Executive Officer, and Oil Business COO of Showa Shell Sekiyu K.K. Takashi Matsushita currently, Executive Vice President and Representative Director as Director, Executive Vice President, Executive Officer Petrochemicals, Functional Materials, Intellectual Property/Research, and Vietnam Project. Katsuaki Shindome as Director, Senior Managing Executive Officer Human Resources, Information Systems, General Affairs, and Internal Control Concurrently serves as Division Manager of Safety and Environmental Protection Division, and Division Manager of Quality Assurance Division. Susumu Nibuya as Executive Vice President, Executive Officer Resources, Corporate Planning, External Affairs and Public Relations, ESG, and Legal. Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd. is specialized in the production and refining of petroleum products. Net sales break down by category as follows:
- refining of petroleum products (78.8%): fuels, lubricants, kerosene, etc. At the end of March 2019, the group operated 6 refineries in Japan;
- manufacturing of petrochemical products (12.5%): activity carried out in 2 production sites located in Japan;
- exploration and production of oil, coal, uranium and geothermal resources (7%);
- other (1.7%).
Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: Japan (69.8%), Asia-Pacific (19.2%), North America (7.2%), Europe (2.4%) and others (1.4%).
