Society of Textile Technologists arranged a industrial visit to Ibrahim Fibres Limited (Textile Plant 3 and 4) for 1st year and 2nd year students of Textile Engineering and Technology on December 19, 2019. Ibrahim Fibre Textile Plant 4 is the latest and largest Spinning Plant of Pakistan with more than 1 Lac Spindles under one roof. Dr. Ali Afzal was the Tour Coordinator.

Ibrahim Fibres Limited is a Pakistan-based company, which is engaged in the manufacture and sale of polyester staple fiber (PSF) and yarn. Its consolidated operations comprise of Polyester Plants and Textile Spinning Plants supported by in house power generation plants (based on HFO, Gas and Coal). The Polyester Plants produce a range of PSF in different varieties, lusters, cut lengths and fineness. These polyester plants also produce dyed and hollow fibers in siliconized and non-siliconized varieties. Its Textile Spinning Plants specialize in production of finer counts of blended as well as pure synthetic yarns. The Company also uses national grid power up to approximately 16 megawatts (MW), being used as stand-by arrangement.
