- Poland's 3rd largest construction company, to supply elevators for public and private constructions and cooperate in the Ukraine's reconstruction project
- Supporting elevators to public schools for the reconstruction in Ukraine... providing modular elevator technology specialized for rapid installation
Hyundai Elevator announced it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with ERBUD, the third-largest constructor in Poland, on November 28 in Warsaw, Poland, for comprehensive cooperation in the Ukraine reconstruction project.
Hyundai Elevator's Managing Director Cheol-ho Cho of the Overseas Sales 2 Division, ERBUD's Vice President Jacek Leczkowski of the Construction Division, and other officials attended the signing ceremony. ERBERD is Poland's representative company specializing in commercial and residential construction. Under the MOU, the two firms plan to work closely together to enter the Ukrainian reconstruction business in the future. As reducing the construction time is vital to quickly recover from damages in post-war reconstruction projects, Hyundai Elevator will apply the modular elevator solution it is developing and further consider providing elevators at public facilities such as schools as humanitarian aid. "We are very pleased to enter into this agreement with Hyundai Elevator, Kore's No. 1 elevator company," remarked Leczkowski. "We expect it to lay the foundation for building trust for business cooperation between the two companies."
Poland, sharing an eastern border with Ukraine and with a population of 41 million, has actively supported the Ukrainian government since the outbreak of the Ukraine-Russia war. The country also borders Germany and the Czech Republic to the southwest and is expected to serve as a stronghold for Hyundai Elevator to make inroads into the European market.
Managing Director Cho said, "Hyundai Elevator values earning trust more than selling products," adding, "We hope that Hyundai's corporate spirit will pave the way for cooperation with Poland in Ukraine."
Hyundai Elevator has affiliates in China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Türkiye and operates agencies in 61 countries around the world. It is working to expand its global business with the goal of achieving 50% of overseas sales by 2030.
