Hope, Inc. provided consolidated earnings guidance for the first half year ending December 31, 2021 and full year ending June 30, 2022. For the first half, the company expects Net Sales were JPY 22,126 million. Operating loss was JPY 46 million. Loss attributable to owners of parent was JPY 95 million. Basic loss per share was JPY 9.72.
For the full year, the company expects Net Sales were JPY 34,850 million. Operating profit was JPY 479 million. Profit attributable to owners of parent was JPY 398 million. Basic earnings per share was JPY 32.18.
Hope Inc is a Japan-based company engaged in advertising, energy and media businesses. The Company operates through three business segments. Energy segment offers GENEWAT, an electricity retail service that helps local governments reduce costs. Advertising segment offers two kinds of services. The smart resource (SR) service purchases advertising space in various media such as homepages owned by local governments, public relations papers, salary statements distributed to public employees, and envelopes and sells them to private companies. The smart creation (SC) service, in the form of collaborative issuance with local governments, recruits advertisers to produce information booklets for residents and donates the booklets to local governments. Media segment utilizes the relationships with local governments cultivated in the advertising business to provide business to government (BtoG) marketing services, Jichitai Works, and Jichitai Works HA x SH information distribution platform.
