London, 27 June 2013 - HCL Workforce Solutions has opened new offices in Birmingham and Manchester, increasing the company's local presence in the UK.

HCL CEO Stephen Burke confirmed the extension as a strategic one, part of an ongoing plan to deliver a 'best in class' level of service to clients and candidates.

"Opening offices in Birmingham and Manchester has obvious benefits for the company - we work with the NHS, private companies and medical professionals up and down the country, and look forward to the increased accessibility these offices will allow." Mr Burke said.

Each office has designated areas to host compliance days for candidates and is centrally located to main public transport links.

"These offices are an investment in our candidates and clients. We want to make the process of getting our locums compliant and out to work as quick and as easy as we can."

Getting a medical locum compliant means they must pass a strict checklist of requirements, and depending on the role, this could range from document, qualification and background checks, face-to-face interviews and blood work.

"Yes, these checks take time and can cause frustration - but they are 100% necessary.  We will not waiver on our commitment to quality and patient safety."

As one of the largest staffing agencies in the market place, HCL is already an approved framework provider to a significant number of hospital trusts and local authorities across the UK.

The offices are located at 1 Victoria Square, Birmingham and 53 Fountain Street, Manchester and join HCL's existing offices in Leeds, Newcastle, Skipton, Cardiff and head office on Old Bailey in the centre of London.
