GRENDENE KICKS OFF 2013 WITH THE WORLD'S TOP FOOTWEAR FASHION AND BUSINESS EVENTS Grendene will be at the world's top footwear fashion and business events In January - and will be holding its Brazilian sales convention in the week prior to Couromoda. These events enable Grendene to create closer relations with its clients and representatives, and also get feedback on the outcome of Christmas sales, and buying intentions for the coming months.

Brazil events in January:In Brazil, the footwear events calendar starts with the 40th annual Couromoda International Footwear, Sports and Leather Goods Trade Show, held on January 14-17, 2013, at São Paulo's Anhembi Exhibition Center. Grendene will be at Couromoda presenting the new models in its leading brands and licenses: Rider, Ipanema, Cartago, Grendha, Zaxy, Grendene Kids, Grendene Baby, Disney, Guga, Mormaii and Bad Boy.
Worldwide events in January:Grendene will be at Agenda in Long Beach
(Jan. 4 and 5), Surf Expo in Orlando (Jan. 10-12), Bread & Butter in Berlin (Jan.
15-17), IFF in Tokyo (Jan. 23-25) and Premiere Classe in Paris (Jan. 19-22).

Ever stronger results:

• Net revenue in the first nine months of 2012 (9M12) was 25% higher year-on-year, at R$ 1.22 billion - compared to R$ 976 million in 9M11.

• Volume sold increased by 42% year-on-year - from 100 million pairs in

9M11, to 121 million in 9M12.

• Net profit was up 42% year-on-year, at R$ 261 million, in the 9 months.

• Dividends distributed in the period totaled R$ 188 million, 42% more than in 9M11 (R$ 132 million).

These results confirm our expectations and motivate us to make even more improvements to our business model. We will continue to pursue productivity gains, and we will maintain focus on strengthening of our brands, operational excellence, ever-closer relations with our sales channels, and increasing market share.
