Lakey Peterson made history this past weekend by locking in a W at the first-ever WSL Women's Championship Tour stop in Bali. But that's not all, her first-place finish at the Corona Bali Protected allowed Lakey to reclaim the Jeep Leader Jersey from Steph Gilmore, who's been rocking it since her win at Bells.
It was clear that Lakey was feeling what Keramas had to offer, laying out some powerful turns early on. She continued to stay consistent throughout the day and peaked in the finals to snag the winning two-wave total of 14.33, edging out some fierce completion (and sprays) from Tyler Wright.
This puts Lakey in the perfect position to keep her momentum going into stop No. 6 at Uluwatu. Best of luck, Lakey!
