Go Ahead : publishes its latest sustainability report

The Go-Ahead Group has today published its sustainability report for the year ended 1 July 2017. The publication coincides with the Group's Annual General Meeting. The report illustrates the company's sustainability performance and progress across all aspects of the organisation's activity.

David Vazquez, corporate affairs and sustainability manager, explains: 'We have been publishing reports for Group and all operating companies for a number of years. By doing customised reports, we ensure we are talking about the things that matter most to our key stakeholders at both Group and operating company level.

'We continually aim to improve our sustainability reporting and consistent communications in our various channels such as website, annual report, sustainability reports and videos, is a key priority'

Go-Ahead's sustainability report follows the publication of its fourth integrated Annual Report and Accounts which provides a comprehensive view of the Group's activity.

The Group also publishes a video summarising its performance in the past year. Go-Ahead's subsidiary operating companies also produce sustainability reports highlighting their local sustainability activities.

Bus

Outside London, we operate services in Oxford, East Anglia, the South East, Southern and north east England. In September 2016, the Group began operating a bus contract in Singapore, on behalf of the Land Transport Authority.

Rail

The rail operation, Govia, is 65 per cent owned by Go-Ahead and 35 per cent by Keolis. It is the largest rail operation in the UK, responsible for over 30 per cent of all UK passenger rail journeys through its rail franchises: GTR (Govia Thameslink Railway) Southeastern and London Midland.
