Global Clean Energy, Inc. has secured a source of jatropha seedlings and plants to implement its jatropha landfill projects. The company has prioritized 32 locations in southern United States for jatropha development. The company's first stage was to assure a quality supply of jatropha for plantings in the first quarter of 2013.

GCEI is targeting 3 universities to provide research for the project with strategic alliances to be signed before year end. The company through its Grant Division is completing applications to the Rural Development Guarantee Program, the Rural Energy for America Program and the Biomass Crop Assistance Program. Likewise, in each state it is the intention of GCEI to seek state assistance for the local governmental units involved.
