HOUSTON, Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Amerex Energy Services, a division of Amerex Brokers LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of GFI Group Inc., (Nasdaq: GFIG), has hired Steve Moore as Executive Vice President. Mr. Moore will report to Clay Davis, President of Amerex Brokers LLC and will be based in Houston where he will direct day-to-day operations of Amerex Energy Services. Amerex Energy Services advises large commercial, industrial and institutional groups on various cost saving methods of managing energy expenses and deploying risk mitigation tools.

Mr. Moore comes to Amerex most recently from Wells Fargo where he was part of the Commercial Banking Group focusing on new business development. His experience with several organizations includes significant experience directing sales and organizational growth as well as corporate acquisitions.
