First REIT secures S$400 million in syndicated secured financing facilities

SINGAPORE - 16 January 2018 - Bowsprit Capital Corporation Limited, as manager of First Real Estate Investment Trust ("First REIT" and as manager of First REIT, the "Manager"), today announced that HSBC Institutional Trust Services (Singapore) Limited, as trustee of First REIT has signed a mandate and commitment letter (the "Letter") with Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation Limited ("OCBC" or the "Bank") to secure up to S$400 million in syndicated secured financing facilities (the "Facilities") from the Bank.

OCBC will be the mandated lead arranger and bookrunner for the Facilities and will fully underwrite the Facilities subject to the terms and conditions of the Letter. These Facilities consist of a 3-year

Singapore dollar term loan facility, a 4-year Singapore dollar term loan facility, a 5-year Singapore dollar term loan facility and a 3-year dual currency revolving credit facility available in Singapore or US dollar, where the quantum of each facility provides for up to S$100 million.

Commented Mr Victor Tan, Chief Executive Officer of the Manager, "Our Trust has continued to grow consistently in 2017, with the addition of two newly-acquired properties, expanding our portfolio to 20 properties and thereby strengthening income streams for our Unitholders. We maintain a prudent approach to capital management to provide a sturdy platform for further growth. The Facilities will be used to partially refinance outstanding bank loans, fund property investments as well as meet working capital requirements. Moving forward, we will continue to actively manage our capital structure and explore various financing options where necessary."

Lippo Plaza Kupang and Lippo Plaza Buton are managed by PT Lippo Malls Indonesia. In Singapore, the nursing homes at Bukit Merah and Bukit Panjang are operated by Pacific Healthcare Nursing Home Pte Ltd and Pacific Eldercare and Nursing Pte Ltd respectively. The Lentor Residence is operated by The Lentor Residence Pte Ltd, while Sarang Hospital in South Korea is managed by a private doctor.

Through First REIT, investors can participate in an asset class that has a focus towards Asia's growing healthcare sector, which is boosted by an increase in life expectancy in Indonesia and the rest of Southeast Asia.
