Global testing company Exova has appointed Jim Scull as vice president for its Americas Health Sciences business.

Jim joins the company after serving as vice president of Pharmaceutical Development for NSF Health Sciences, leading a division of 200 people with laboratories in Brazil, China, Germany, Peru and the United States. Prior to this Jim, who holds a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from Villanova University, was general manager of the NSF Health Sciences laboratory in Connecticut and was co-owner of Pharmalytica Services where he grew the business from a start-up in 2004 to a multi-million revenue generating company which NSF acquired in 2011.

In this newly-created role, Jim will have direct responsibility for Exova's Pharmaceutical and Food Testing laboratories in North America. He will continue to drive the successful growth of the business across sites in Mississauga, Santa Fe Springs and Portland. Jim will report to Ian El-Mokadem, chief executive officer, and will join the Exova leadership team.

Ian El-Mokadem said: 'Jim has an impressive track record of growing Health Sciences businesses and brings with him a wealth of commercial experience and technical knowledge. His strong leadership and eminent level of technical expertise, as well as his commitment to continue the successful development of the business, will enable Jim to add real value to Exova as we continue to grow.'
Jim Scull added: 'This is a really exciting time to be joining the company. I look forward to continuing to drive the Americas Health Sciences business and ensuring we build on the high level of service, technical expertise and quality that Exova's customers rely on.'
