Environmental Power Corporation (Environmental Power) develops, owns and generates electricity to end users or used to produce pipeline-grade methane, which Microgy, Inc. (Microgy) refers to as renewable natural gas (RNG), liquefied natural gas (LNG), compressed natural gas (CNG), renewable electrical energy or thermal energy, as well as other useful by-products. Microgyâs systems utilize a European biogas production technology. In addition, Microgy has developed engineering, construction and process knowledge regarding these systems. The Company has commenced construction of a multi-digester renewable biogas facility to be located at the flagship Grand Island, Nebraska beef processing plant of JBS Swift & Company (Swift). Under the terms of the agreement with Swift, Microgy will construct, own and operate the facility and sell its gas output to Swift for use in its operations to offset natural gas utilization pursuant to a 15-year gas purchase agreement.
