Energy Resources of Australia Ltd. announced production results for the fourth quarter and year ended December 2012. For the quarter, the company produced uranium oxide of 1,227 tonnes, 19% a year ago. Total material mined was 2,045 tonnes, was 45% lower than a year ago. Ore mined was 1,197,000 tonnes, 78% from a year ago. Ore milled was 629,000 tonnes, decreased 8% a year ago. Mill head grade was 0.23% uranium oxide, was 35% a year ago. Mill recovery was 85.7%, decreased 3% a year ago. Total evaluation expenditure was $1 million and related to the Ranger 3 Deeps prefeasibility study. This study aims to evaluate and confirm the scope for a possible Ranger 3 Deeps underground mine.

For the year, the company produced uranium oxide of 3,710 tonnes, 40% a year ago. Total material mined was 11,857 tonnes. Mill head grade was 0.17% uranium oxide, was 6% lower than a year ago. Ore mined was 3,753,000 tonnes, 226% from a year ago. Ore milled was 2,577,000 tonnes, increased 59% a year ago. Mill head grade was 0.17% uranium oxide, was 6% lower than a year ago. Mill recovery was 86.2%, decreased 2% a year ago. Total evaluation expenditure for 2012 was $3 million compared to $18 million for 2011.
