The Company is engaged in agriculture investments through the 27.6%-owned Egeli & Co. Agriculture Investment Trust, which primarily focuses on such investment areas, as livestock investments, arable lands and organic farming investments. It also invests in the agriculture sector through the indirectly held Bati Tarimsal Yatirimlar A.S., which is engaged in temporary and permanent cultivation projects. The Company invests in two geothermal fields. Investments in the energy sector are made through the 99.99%-owned EGC Elektrik Enerji Uretim San. ve Tic. A.S. and the 50%-owned Karesi Jeotermal Enerji Uretim San. ve Tic. A.S. Additionally, the Company invests in commercial real estate properties. As of December 31, 2011, its largest shareholder was Egeli & Co. Financial Investments A.S. (43.11%).
