Eco-Shift Power (ECOP) announced the execution of a Letter of Intent with Sharp Manufacturing Company of America ("SMCA"). The announcement follows the company's recent meetings with members of SMCA's management team which resulted in furthering a strategic relationship to assess a number of potential collaborations including the integration of ECOP's proprietary Light Management System and Virtual Powerplant Platform with Sharp's lighting technology, as well as Net Zero(TM) certification of Sharp's lighting products. ECOP's RF chipset is a key component of its Light Management technology and can be used to create IP addressable light fixtures that offer wireless control and 2-way communication.

Each light fixture can be independently programed and controlled via Eco-Shift's cloud-based Virtual Powerplant Platform. This RF technology is fundamental for lighting products to effectively compete in the rapidly growing markets of demand management and demand response. The 2-way wireless communication is also needed to maximize the effectiveness of motion sensors and daylight harvest sensors, which are easily added to light fixtures to help manage energy usage.

The technology can also be linked to security systems to both detect intruders and activate lighting.
