East Texas Financial Services, Inc. ("ETFS") (OTCBB:FFBT) announced today that it has again postponed its special meeting of stockholders to approve its merger agreement with Prosperity Bancshares, Inc. The meeting, which was originally scheduled to be held on March 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., local time, had been postponed to March 28, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., local time. The meeting is now being postponed to April 18, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. local time. The meeting location will be OneREALTOR Center, 2772 SSE Loop 323, Tyler, Texas 75701, (903) 561-8403 and the voting record date (February 3, 2012) has not changed. The reason for this postponement is to investigate potential aggregation issues for the purpose of determining appropriate voting rights in compliance with ETFS' articles of incorporation.

ETFS is the holding company for First Federal Bank Texas, a federal savings bank based in Tyler, Texas. First Federal Bank Texas, which was founded in 1923, operates from four office locations in Tyler and Gilmer, Texas.
