DSP Group Inc. and Askey Computer Corp. announced the launch of a new programmable button based on ULE technology. The button allows service providers, operators and consumers to program the device in which it is integrated to support multiple use cases.

Swisscom is the first telecoms operator to offer Askey's button to its customers, as part of its new and innovative service allowing users to manage home Wi-Fi, control home lighting, and more – all by a press of a button. ULE technology, the next generation technology for IoT applications, offers the advantages of superior range, video and audio support and long battery life. ULE products also benefit from a dedicated frequency band, which enables interference-free operation.

Leveraging the DHX91 System-on-a-Chip (SoC), the new Askey button features ultra-low power consumption, extended range, simple installation and registration, and support for voice and visual security verification.
