With the new PerfectWall PW 3800 Dometic presents its strongest RV wall awning ever at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf. Robust retractable arms with double steel ropes inside lend exceptional stability to the overall construction. As a result, the PW 3800 makes do without the factory-fitted support legs despite its ample size of up to 6 x 2.75 metres.
The Dometic awning range gives camping friends an amazing choice - including models for roof or wall mounting, for manual or electric operation, self-supporting or with easily accessible support legs. As a newcomer to the segment of wall awnings, the PerfectWall PW 3800 gives even more roofed space in front of the vehicle. All model versions come standard with an extra-large extension of 2.75 metres.
That means, of course, that the retractable arms have to bear quite a bit of load. They can take it in their stride, because they are exceptionally sturdy with a height of 66 millimetres, fitted with double steel ropes inside, and firmly anchored in an extra-strong fastening device. The product designers have additionally fitted the arm fastening system with a set screw that allows individual adjustment of the inclination angle, so the awning can simply be lowered when the sun is low in the sky.
The extra-strong retractable arms give an enhanced traction force - and thus better wind stability and a tautly stretched awning cloth. That means that the factory-fitted support legs can usually stay in the front rail (provided the vehicle wall is strong enough), so all of the space in front of the vehicle can be used.
The PW 3800 is supplied standard with a white housing. Other RAL colours are available on request. The PVC awning cloth gives customers a choice of two colour versions, Horizon Blue or Horizon Grey.
Dometic's extra-large sun shade can be ordered in lengths between four and six metres - all with a standard extension of 2.75 metres. A telescopic crank for manual operation is included with each awning. Alternatively, the new Dometic wall awning is also available as a 12-volt model including a remote control.
