The First-Ever Training Academy in Malaysia for Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound to Open at Mediagroup Academy

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, March 3, 2015-Mediagroup Academy, a division of Salzbrenner Stagetec Mediagroup, and Dolby Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE: DLB) today announced the launch of the first media training facilities in Malaysia to be fully equipped for training on the creation of Dolby® 5.1 surround sound. The media training academy will provide professional-level education for working media practitioners and media enthusiasts who seek to enhance their knowledge.
The launch of the Dolby 5.1 surround sound training facility in Malaysia marks the next shift for Malaysia's broadcast industry. With this collaborative effort, Malaysian broadcasters can now be further equipped to create more immersive content and television experiences. The brand-new facility is expected to start operations in early March.
