Press release of Mar. 21, 2012
Postbank clients can now download a free banking app for Android smartphones from the Android Market or from Google Play. "Mobile clients are asking more and more for high-performance banking apps. This trend will continue to grow. With the Android platform, we can now reach the fastest-growing user group," commented Michael Heinen, Head of Direct Banking at Postbank.
Version 1.0 of the new "Postbank App" will offer these initial functions:
- Balances of all Postbank accounts and cards
- Account transactions for all Postbank accounts and cards
- Display of transactions in the balance history
- Display of account details
- Money transfers
- Account transfers (between Postbank accounts)
- Direct debit orders can be set up or cancelled
Clients can also use the Postbank app to register for the "Happy Hour" newsletter. This helps mobile bankers stay up to date without missing any exciting "happy hour" campaigns relating to Postbank products on the www.postbank.de homepage.
Like its successful predecessor, "iPostbank" for Apple
iPhone and iPod, with 270,000 downloads in the iTunes App
Store, Postbank plans to update the Android app to include
the popular cash finder and budget planner. The budget
planner allows mobile bankers to better track their debits
and credits.
The system requirements for the app are a smartphone with
the Android operating system, version 2.1 or higher. More
information can be found at www.postbank.de/postbankapp.
