A former Bank of England stalwart will take over as the new chairman of Danske Bank here. Martin Stewart, who was previously director of banks, building societies and credit unions at the Bank of England takeover in the post in January next year, replacing Gerald Gregory. Mr. Stewart, pictured with Danske Bank chief executive Vicky Davies, has two decades' board-level experience as an executive, non-executive, adviser and regulator, which include having also been managing director of a group of European subsidiary companies.
