Daikoku Denki Co., Ltd. announced consolidated earnings results for the second quarter of fiscal year ending March 31, 2017. For the quarter, the company reported net sales of JPY 20,187 million compared to JPY 24,225 million a year ago. Operating income was JPY 605 million compared to JPY 815 million a year ago. Ordinary income was JPY 706 million compared to JPY 905 million a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of parent was JPY 329 million or JPY 22.27 per share compared to JPY 421 million or JPY 28.53 per share a year ago.
The company provided earnings guidance for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2017. For the year, the company expects net sales of JPY 50,000 million, operating income of JPY 1,000 million, ordinary income of JPY 1,000 million and net income of JPY 600 million or JPY 40.59 per share.
