CVR ENERGY ISSUES STATEMENT COMMENTING ON INVESTMENT BY CARL ICAHN SUGAR LAND, Texas (Jan. 13, 2012) - CVR Energy, Inc. (NYSE: CVI), a refiner and marketer of petroleum fuels and the majority owner of a nitrogen fertilizer products manufacturer, today issued the following statement in response to an investment in the company made by entities associated with Carl Icahn.
