TORONTO, December 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --

Great Rock Development Corp. (OTC: GROC) is pleased to announce the acquisition and development of the new Imagen Filter with the aim to create a new era in gold and platinum separation.

Every year miners extract Gold and Platinum from mines and river beds around the globe.  With the price of Gold and Platinum enjoying high levels for decades, even the extracting of small amounts, sometimes less than an ounce per ton, continues to make these mining ventures profitable. Once these small amounts of sand/dirt are processed and the miners have extracted what they believe to be rewarding returns, they scrap the balance of the sand/dirt, known as 'tailings', as they believe they have recovered the maximum amount of precious metals possible.

Great Rock has entered into an agreement to secure the rights to a technology under development that if testing is successful will extract Gold and Platinum from these discarded mine tailings. The acquisition terms provide for Great Rock to pay for the technology improvements and independent testing and market roll out.  A royalty based on income generated from the filter will also be paid to the inventor.

The technology while unproven, is a unique use of technologies used in fields unrelated to the mining industry. The inventor and technical expert, believes that; by applying un-related technologies, there will be a considerable profit in processing these discarded tailings.

Extensive research has satisfied the company that bench testing of the unrelated and modified technology will prove the application to be financially successful. Bench testing is expected to be completed within 60 to 90 days. Once bench testing has proven successful, Great Rock  will apply for patents globally.

While no guarantees can be given at this time, if successful a ton of discarded sand/dirt -'Tailings' could become worth more than the original sand/dirt mined.

There are millions of tons of 'Tailings' all over the globe, in some countries small hills surround mining areas covering significant areas. Upon completion of successful testing, the owners of all these small hills are deemed potential clients for Great Rock.
