City National : Hires Lift Out Team of Seasoned Commercial Bankers in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, CA- City National Bank, California's Premier Private and Business Bank®, today announced that it has hired a seasoned group of commercial bankers from Citibank for its expanding Commercial Banking Services group in Orange County. Longtime banking professionals Aaron Olson, Denis Gibbs, and Carolyn Craft have all joined City National as senior vice presidents and with over 68 years of experience in the banking industry.

In their new roles with City National, Olson will serve as a Team leader, while Gibbs and Craft will serve as Senior Relationship Managers. All three will be responsible for developing new middle market commercial clients through referrals and calling efforts as well as underwriting and packaging commercial loan requests. They will also network through various civic and trade organizations to generate new business opportunities and to promote City National. They will work closely with other areas of the bank, such as Core Banking, Private Client Services and the Real Estate Division to enhance existing relationships and develop new business opportunities.

All of these individuals will work out of City National's newly renovated and expanded Regional Center in Orange County at 18111 Von Karman Avenue, Suite 120. As the Team Leader, Olson will manage Gibbs and Craft, and report directly to Craig Caliger, senior vice president and Regional Manager of City National's Commercial Banking Services group in Orange County.

Prior to joining City National Bank, Olson served as Senior Relationship Manager for Citibank's Upper Middle Market Group covering multinational companies in the Southwestern United States. During his 16-year career in the banking industry, Olson has worked for Wells Fargo and U.S. Bank where he began his banking career as a teller in 1999. Olson is a graduate of the University of Phoenix in Irvine where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. He also attended the Center for Academic Programs Abroad in London, England, where he studied International Economics and Finance, and the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, where he was a business management major.

Prior to joining City National, Gibbs' 13-year career in banking was spent entirely at Citi, most recently as Senior Relationship Manager for Citibank's Middle Market Group covering the Southwestern United States after being promoted from a successful career as a Business Development Officer covering General Industries and Healthcare. During his 19-year professional career in banking and finance, Gibbs has also worked for Citigroup's Global Corporate and Investment Bank in New York City, Ultralink in Costa Mesa and Nikko Salomon Smith Barney in Tokyo, Japan. He graduated from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, with a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and German. He also attended the Institute for European Studies and Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany.

Craft likewise joins City National Bank from Citibank in Irvine where she served as a Business Development Officer and Relationship Manager for both the Commercial Banking General Industries Group and the Healthcare Financing Group. During her 30 years in banking she also worked for California Bank & Trust and Citibank's predecessor banks Glendale Federal and California Federal Bank. She attended Long Beach State University. Craft is actively involved in the community serving as a board member for the Boys and Girls Club of Huntington Valley.
