​Cardno's Dr. Steven M. Bartell (Vice President. Principal, and Technical Director/Ecological Modeling Practice Leader), has co-authored a paper for a leading scientific journal, Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry.

The paper discusses Steve's comprehensive aquatic systems model (CASM), used to assess potential risks posed by atrazine, a widely used herbicide, on aquatic plant communities in the US.

Steve has more than 40 years of experience as an environmental scientist in quantitative ecosystem analysis and ecological modeling. He has co-authored five books and more than 70 peer-reviewed journal publications and book chapters.
