CapitaLand Investment Limited (CLI) has named Sumit Gera as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the India Business Park, effective from 16 May 2024. This appointment is part of CLI?s leadership succession strategy. Gera takes over the role from Gauri Shankar Nagabhushanam, who has been designated as the CEO of CapitaLand India Trust (CLINT).

In his new role, Gera will lead the growth initiatives to expand the business parks portfolio in India, which is a key part of CLI's growth strategy in India. Gera has been with the CapitaLand Group since March 2016 and has held significant roles in different business units, including as head of portfolio management for CLINT and Head of CLI?s India private funds business. Prior to joining CLI, he was responsible for private equity real estate investments in India and Australia at Partners Group AG.

Nagabhushanam will take over as CEO of CLINT from Sanjeev Dasgupta in August 2024 to ensure a smooth transition of leadership. Meanwhile, Dasgupta will continue to oversee CLI India's operations, including business parks, logistics, and data centers.
