Canandaigua National : URMC Celebrates New Orthopaedics Center at Marketplace Mall Built with Support from CNB

Members of the Canandaigua National Bank & Trust executive team were on hand Friday, May 10, to celebrate the new University of Rochester Medical Center Orthopaedics and Physical Performance Center at Marketplace Mall. CNB supported the construction with a financial gift, and the new main foyer of the facility will bear the name of Canandaigua National Bank & Trust.

The partnership with URMC is ushered by Executive Vice President Sam Guerrieri, who has served as Chair of the Orthopaedics Advisory Council and has championed the work to increase the facility's visibility, support, and profile. The Center, located at Marketplace Mall, offers easy access and the latest and best approaches to care for patients of all ages and abilities. Covering over 330,000 square feet, the center houses 144 exam rooms, eight operating rooms and a training space five-times larger than what was available prior.

"This really was three opportunities wrapped into one," Guerrieri said. "Through this gift, we were able to support our region's largest employer, help provide a world-class facility that will benefit thousands across the Greater Rochester region with the best care, and we're able to help revitalize the former Marketplace Mall in the process. It's a win for the community on so many levels, right in Henrietta and across the region."

Guerrierri was joined by Chief Retail Banking Officer Gwen Crawford and Director of Community Engagement Ginny Ryan for the grand-opening ceremony.
