Canadian National Railway said that its last-mile trucking container pickup and deliveries subsidiary reached a tentative agreement with its union-affiliated drivers.
The Canadian railroad said Wednesday that has reached a tentative agreement with owner-operators affiliated with Unifor, CNTL, covering about 750 owner-operators under the contract until the end of 2027.
"We believe that this deal is good for the owner-operators and will support business needs, ensuring that they can continue delivering critical first-mile and last-mile services," said Executive Vice-President and Chief Marketing Officer Doug MacDonald.
