BRIERTY RECEIVES NOTICE OF AWARD FOR FORTESCUE WORK VALUED AT $39 MILLION

Civil and mining contractor Brierty Limited (ASX: BYL) is pleased to announce that it has received a notice of award to undertake the construction of rail formation for six sidings on the Cloudbreak Mainline for Fortescue Metals Group Limited (ASX: FMG), valued at $39 million.
The construction of rail formation includes bulk earthworks and drill and blast operations. The work is scheduled to commence next month and be completed by the end of the calendar year.
Brierty Managing Director Peter McBain said the new contract reflected Brierty's strong relationship with Fortescue and the excellent performance by Brierty's construction teams who are currently working on Fortescue's T155 expansion project.
"Our experience and ability to perform on large civil infrastructure projects, such as the $60 million Solomon
Rail Spur contract that is nearing completion, is being recognised by our clients," Mr McBain said.
"We look forward to successfully delivering on this additional contract for Fortescue, which fits well with our
capabilities and is in line with our business strategy."
