Blackheath Resources Inc. reported results from preliminary work at the recently-acquired 213 square kilometre Vale das Gatas Tungsten/Tin Project. Mapping and sampling over the Prainelas area, approximately 1.5 square kilometres in size, has so far located at least 12 waste dumps from previous workings and at least 30 tungsten-bearing quartz veins over a distance of 900 metres. A single grab sample taken from one of the tungsten-bearing veins assayed 6.60% WO(3) or 66 kg/tonne. Six grab samples were taken from six of the waste dumps and averaged 0.68% WO(3) (tungsten trioxide) or 6.8 kg/tonne, ranging from 1.43% to 0.18% WO(3) with additional tin values averaging 0.11% Sn.

The company also reported the resignation of Marshall Farris from the board of directors. Mr. Farris was a founding director of the company and leaves to pursue other business interests.
