Dallas' Good Shive Low Is Scheduled To Perform Live At The State's Largest Annual Televised New Year's Eve Event

Dallas, Texas…WFAA and American Airlines Center, in conjunction with OurStage.com (), have announced the winner of the annual "Fast Track to Fame" competition. Dallas-based Good Shive Low competed with nearly 100 bands from the North Texas area and has been selected to perform at this year's edition of Big D NYE on December 31, 2011.

Performers were encouraged to submit original music and compete for the slot in what has become Texas' largest annual live televised event designed to ring in the New Year. After a full month of competition, the best and brightest artists, as ranked by an online community of music fans, rose to the top of the OurStage.com "Fast Track to Fame" Music Channel. Music experts at OurStage.com and a special panel of music industry professionals reviewed the top 40 ranked artists in the channel, and the top band was chosen. This is the second year of the competition. Last year's winner was Sleeperstar ().

), the grand-prize winner, beat out the rest of the competition to perform live at Big D NYE in front of a live audience of over 30,000 people outside American Airlines Center at Dallas' Victory Park complex, as well as to a televised audience of over 6 million viewers in more than 20 markets including Houston, Austin, El Paso, New Orleans and others over four states.

In addition to performing live at Big D NYE, Good Shive Low will receive a cash prize, a special promotional feature on the Big D NYE web site and OurStage.com along with tickets to a Big D NYE VIP Party.
