Telco Systems Announces New Sales Executives in North America and Latin America

MANSFIELD, MA - January 18, 2012 -Telco Systems, a BATM company (LSE: BVC) and provider of multi-service Carrier Ethernet and MPLS access, cloud networking and demarcation solutions, has announced the appointment of Reinhard (Reini) Florin to the position of vice president of US and Canada sales and Hector Menjivar as vice president of LATAM sales. These appointments are part of the Company's global growth strategy to strengthen and expand its presence in select high growth markets around the world.

Reini Florin brings over 25 years of experience in managing sales teams and has been instrumental in profit growth for both public and private companies. As vice president, Florin will manage the North American sales and support team for the Company's IP product line. He has extensive sales and marketing experience within the telecommunications sector in general and the IP Ethernet, mobile operator, wireless backhaul, and microwave markets in particular. Reini was most recently General Manager of Americas for Fusion Products at DragonWave. He has also served at Axerra (acquired by Dragonwave), SilverStorm Technologies (acquired by QLogic), Carrier Access, and Paragon Networks (acquired by Carrier Access). Reini holds a B.S. in Management from Ball State University and MBA from the University of South Florida.

Hector Menjivar, who has been leading the Latin American territory sales efforts for Telco Systems since 2006, has been promoted to vice president of LATAM sales. He has over 20 years of experience in international sales and a strong expertise in distribution channels and long-term strategic planning. Hector has played a pivotal role in the Company's success in adding global telecommunication companies as customers and establishing a base of Tier 1 service providers within Latin America. Prior to joining Telco Systems, Hector was director of Latin American sales at Metrobility (acquired by Telco Systems in 2006). He holds a B.S. in Finance and a B.S. in Economics from University of Central Florida.
