04-Jan-2021 Alexander Temme Becomes New Chief Commercial Officer at Basler AG

Our Supervisory Board has appointed Alexander Temme, aged 50, to the Board of Management as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), taking effect on January 1, 2021. After 15 years, our former CCO John Jennings asked the Supervisory Board not to renew his contract, which expired at the end of 2020. Alexander Temme has been with us since 2002 and was most recently in charge of global sales. In addition, he has managed the embedded vision components business since 2018.

We thank John Jennings for his work as Chief Commercial Officer. With his many years of experience and great personal commitment, he has successfully managed the sales and marketing communication departments as well as the foreign subsidiaries and, together with the entire Management Board, has continuously worked to develop the corporate strategy. In addition to his mandate on the Management Board, John Jennings also managed the North American activities of Basler AG as Managing Director of our US subsidiary. This dual role led to a constant high level of travel activity, which he wants to reduce. Following his departure from the Management Board, he will now concentrate on his role as Managing Director of the company's North American activities. Our Supervisory Board and Management Board are equally delighted that John Jennings will remain with the company and that he will be replaced by an experienced successor from within the company.
