Bankia has established a Regional Head Office for Andalucia based in Granada to exploit the new business opportunities stemming from the merger with BMN. The bank has appointed Joaquin Holgado to oversee this office. As Corporate Regional Director, he will be responsible for the retail banking business in the autonomous community.

The bank has also appointed Salvador Curiel Chaves as Corporate Director of Business Banking - South-Canary Islands. He will in charge of business banking across Andalucia. These appointments will take full effect when the final administrative authorisations for the merger are received.
