Banco Santander-Chile announced consolidated earnings results for the period ended December 31, 2020. For the period, the company reported net interest income of CLP 1,593,848 million compared to CLP 1,416,851 million a year ago. Operating income was CLP 652,298 million compared to CLP 701,499 million a year ago. Net income for the period was CLP 522,563 million compared to CLP 554,176 million a year ago. Basic and diluted earnings per shared from continuous operations attributable to equity holders of the bank was 2.746 Chilean pesos compared to 2.921 Chilean pesos. Earnings per share attributable to Equity holders of the Bank was 2.746 Chilean pesos compared to 2.930 Chilean pesos a year ago.
Banco Santander-Chile (the Bank), formerly Banco Santander Chile, is a Chilean bank. The Bank's segments include Retail banking, Middle-market, Global Corporate Banking and Corporate Activities (Other). The Retail Banking segment consists of individuals and small to middle-sized entities (SMEs). The Middle-market segment serves companies and large corporations. The Global Corporate Banking segment consists of foreign and domestic multinational companies.
