Avenue Supermarts Limited reported unaudited standalone earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2017. For the quarter, the company reported revenue from operations of INR 40,948.214 million against INR 33,393.593 million a year ago. Profit before tax was INR 3,851.462 million against INR 2,343.811 million a year ago. Net profit after tax was INR 2,517.635 million or INR 3.97 per diluted share against INR 1,518.790 million or INR 2.70 per basic and diluted share a year ago. EBITDA was INR 4,220 million a year on year growth of 46.3%.
For the nine months, the company reported revenue from operations of INR 112,012.191 million against INR 87,704.831 million a year ago. Profit before tax was INR 9,461.966 million against INR 5,956.366 million a year ago. Net profit after tax was INR 6,175.618 million or INR 9.75 per diluted share against INR 3,859.725 million or INR 6.87 per basic and diluted share a year ago. EBITDA was INR 10,430 million a year on year growth of 38%.
Avenue Supermarts Limited is an India-based company, which is engaged in the business of organized retail and operating supermarkets under the D-Mart brand name. DMart is a supermarket chain that offers customers a range of products with a focus on the foods, non-foods fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and general merchandise and apparel product categories.
