Atomos Limited unveil the next progression in digital imaging with the launch at the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show of RAW video output and Apple ProRes RAW video capture from Nikon full frame mirrorless cameras (Z 6 and Z 7 models) via Atomos' Ninja V monitor recorder over HDMI. Apple ProRes RAW recording had previously only been available through Atomos' Shogun and Sumo product range over SDI connections which are targeted at the ProVideo and Entertainment markets. Nikon's Z 6 and Z 7 cameras are the first to offer RAW video output over HDMI. Capturing Apple ProRes RAW video with the Ninja V enables `professional-level' control and quality of the video image, ensuring the widest dynamic range, color accuracy and detail is preserved for the maximum creativity. Atomos and Nikon have also announced at CES the introduction of a "Filmmaker's kit"comprising the full-frame Nikon Z 6 camera, paired with the Atomos' Ninja V monitor/recorder and other accessories. The Filmmaker's kit has everything required for professional video shooting and beautiful photographs at an affordable price. This bundle is available in the US from the end of January 2019.
