(Alliance News) - Askoll EVA Spa announced on Monday that it has received a new order from Esprinet Spa for 500 Askoll ULTRA C90A and 500 Sigma Smart Control Center motors that will be mounted on the new K2 MID e-mountain bike model from Nilox, a brand of the Esprinet Group that is among the best-known and most popular in the outdoor technology market.

Delivery is scheduled by the first half of 2023, with a total value of about EUR245,000.

Askoll ULTRA C90A is a power unit designed exclusively for e-mountain bikes and is an optimal synthesis of market demands: lightness, compactness and performance. In terms of performance, the Askoll ULTRA C90A motor has a power rating of 250 W - the maximum is about 750 W - and delivers an optimized 90 Nm of torque between 60 and 80 pedal strokes per minute. The special Boost mode, which delivers a maximum torque of 110 Nm, makes it easy to overcome even the roughest sections of the trails. The technical solutions of Askoll ULTRA C90A are patented.

Sigma Smart Control Center is a technology set developed in partnership with Sigma that connects directly to the motor and battery to provide the cyclist with e-bike and output data - assistance level, battery status, kilometers traveled, speed, calories burned - and to share it on social media. In fact, the Bluetooth and ANT+ interface on the Remote 500 smart controller allows it to connect with your smartphone and have everything at your fingertips at all times.

Gian Franco Nanni, managing director of Askoll EVA, commented, "We are very proud of this new order that we consider strategic since it allows us to expand our reach in the e-bike sector. We are particularly pleased to have concluded an agreement with one of the most well-known companies in the sector, such as Nilox, which is highly appreciated by fans of performance e-bikes but not only. We think, therefore, that we can increasingly play a leading role in sustainable mobility in general, and this piece represents a further step toward the completion of our range of solutions."

Askoll EVA's stock closed Monday up 0.6 percent to EUR0.68 per share while Esprinet's stock gained 2.1 percent to EUR7.44 per share.
