Increase of the product-specific competitiveness for the HVAC Division by restructuring the Dilsen (BE) plant

Arbon, 20 March 2019 - The Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Division of Arbonia intends to restructure some business units of the current production at the Dilsen (BE) location and to reduce existing overcapacities in order to increase its product-specific competitiveness.

The Dilsen (BE) production site is to be extensively restructured in mid-2019 by reducing structural overcapacities produced in the past. The gradual consolidation of parts of the production increases the product-specific competitiveness at the location.

The planned restructuring could result in the shedding of 42 jobs at the Dilsen (BE) production plant. To implement this measure, meetings will be held with the concerned employee representatives in line with Belgian law (Renault Act) to discuss, inter alia, the preparation of a social plan and the definition of effective measures to support concerned employees.

The market handling of the HVAC Division with its proven brands will not be affected by the planned measures.

By implementing the measures, the production plant would be assigned a clear identity within the integrated production network of the HVAC Division, which could ensure the location's long-term continuity.
