The Board of Directors of Arbeit-Times Co. Ltd. (JASDAQ:2341) authorized a share repurchase program on October 10, 2012. Under the program, the company will repurchase up to 600,000 shares, representing 1.97% of its issued share capital (excluding treasury shares), for a total cost of ¥100 million. The repurchases will be done through trust consignment method in the market. The repurchases will be done based on Article 165, Clause 3, of Japan's Corporate Law. The purpose of the repurchase program is to enhance shareholder distribution and to be able to conduct a flexible capital policy in compliance with changes in business environment. The plan will commence on October 11, 2012 and end on January 25, 2013. As of September 30, 2012, the company has 30,423,374 shares outstanding (treasury shares excluded) and 3,213,875 shares held in treasury. As of December 31, 2012, the company has repurchased 480,000 shares, representing 1.58% for ¥89.92 million.

Arbeit-Times Co Ltd is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the information provision business and the sales promotion support business. The Company operates through two segments. The Information Provision segment is engaged in the operation and sale of job information magazines and job information websites and sale of recruitment management systems. The Information Provision segment publishes the mainstay DOMO job information magazine and the DOMO Leaf joint job flier and operates and sells the DOMO NET job information website. The Company also operates Wagasha de DOMO, an owned media that provides a recruitment management system. The Sales Promotion Support segment commercializes its know-how in the distribution of free newspapers and provide a service to set up racks at supermarkets, train stations, shopping centers, universities, and other places that attract customers, and post free newspapers and pamphlets published by various businesses.
