Apollo Solar Energy, Inc. is a vertically integrated refiner of tellurium and tellurium-based metals. The Company's tellurium-based compounds are used to produce thin-film solar cells, cell modules and solar electronic products. The Company's business segments include manufacturing, refining, mining, and corporate and others. The Company's range of products and their end-uses are Ultra-High Purity Tellurium, which is used to manufacture radiation and infrared detectors; CdTe Thin Film Compounds, which are primarily used in the production of thin-film solar electric power modules, and Other Commercial-Purity Metals, which include tellurium, selenium, antimony, bismuth, cadmium and zinc. These metals find applications in various electronic material market segments, including photovoltaics (PV), radiation detector and infrared detection. The Company is developing semiconductor, photoelectrical, photoconductive and photovoltaic basic materials for thin film solar cells.
