Alsons Consolidated Resources, Inc. announced that at its AGM held on July 23, 2020, it approved the election of Tomas I. Alcantara and Editha I. Alcantara as Director. At its organizational meeting, it appointed Philip Edward B. Sagun as Deputy Chief Financial Officer. It appointed Tomas I. Alcantara as Chairman and Editha I. Alcantara, Thomas G. Aquino, Jose Ben R. Laraya and Tirso G. Santillan, Jr. as member of the Executive & Corporate Governance Committee. It appointed Tomas I. Alcantara as Chairman and Honorio A. Poblador III, Jose Ben R. Laraya, and Tirso G. Santillan, Jr. as member of the Compensation Committee. It appointed Editha I. Alcantara, Honorio A. Poblador III and Tirso G. Santillan, Jr. as member of Retirement Committee. It appointed Tomas I. Alcantara as Chairman and Jose Ben R. Laraya and Arturo B. Diago, Jr. as member of Nomination & Election Committee. It appointed Jose Ben R. Laraya as Chairman and Editha I. Alcantara, Tirso G. Santillan, Jr., Jacinto C. Gavino, Jr. and Ramon T. Diokno as member of Audit, Risk, Oversight & Related Party Transaction Committee. The Board also appointed Esperidion D. Develos, Jr. as Chief Audit Executive reporting directly to the Audit Committee.
Alsons Consolidated Resources, Inc. is a Philippines-based investment holding company. The Companyâs secondary purpose is oil exploration. The Companyâs subsidiaries are engaged in power generation, property development, industrial estate management and other investments. The Company conducts its business activities through two segments: Power and Energy, and Property Development. The Companyâs energy and power operations are located on three different sites. Its subsidiary, Western Mindanao Power Corporation (WMPC), has a power plant on a nine hectares property in Sitio Malasugat, Sangali, Zamboanga City, and its subsidiary, Southern Philippines Power Corporationâs plant is situated on a 16 hectare property located in Alabel, Sarangani Province, which is 13 kilometers east of General Santos City. Property Development segment acquires, develops, sells and holds for investment or otherwise, real estate of all kinds, subleases office spaces and manufactures door and house frames.
