Air China Limited provided earnings guidance for the six months period ended June 30, 2014. According to the preliminary estimation of the finance department of the Company in accordance with the "China Accounting Standards for Business Enterprises", the net profit attributable to equity holders of the Company for the first half of 2014 is expected to decrease by 55% to 65% compared to that of the corresponding period in 2013. The estimated results have not been audited.

During the first half of 2014, the financial expenses of the Company substantially increased as compared with the corresponding period of 2013 due to the exchange losses (as compared with the exchange gains for the corresponding period of 2013) resulting from the substantial depreciation of Renminbi.
