Adani Power Ltd. reported unaudited standalone and consolidated earnings results for third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2017. For the quarter, the standalone company reported total income of INR 22,558.8 million, loss from operations before exceptional items of INR 12,422.8 million, profit before tax of INR 7,917.2 million, net profit after tax of INR 7,917.2 million, total comprehensive income (after tax) of INR 7,937.2 million or INR 2.05 per basic and diluted share (not annualized) compared to total income of INR 26,842.7 million, loss from operations before exceptional items of INR 8,226.4 million, loss before tax of INR 8,226.4 million, net loss after tax of INR 8,226.7 million, total comprehensive loss (after tax) of INR 8,227.3 million or INR 2.37 per basic and diluted share (not annualized) for the same quarter a year ago.
For the year to date, the standalone company reported total income of INR 84,609.1 million, loss from operations before exceptional items of INR 15,016.2 million, profit before tax of INR 5,323.8 million, net profit after tax of INR 5,323.8 million, total comprehensive income (after tax) of INR 5,323.8 million or INR 1.38 per basic and diluted share (not annualized) compared to total income of INR 82,485.8 million, loss from operations before exceptional items of INR 14,477.4 million, loss before tax of INR 14,477.4 million, net loss after tax of INR 13,645.1 million, total comprehensive loss (after tax) of INR 13,646.9 million or INR 4.01 per basic and diluted share (not annualized) for the same quarter a year ago.
For the quarter, the consolidated company reported total income of INR 49,163.4 million, loss from operations before exceptional items of INR 12,842.4 million, loss before share of loss from associate of INR 12,804.7 million, loss for the period of INR 12,907.4 million or INR 3.32 per basic and diluted share (not annualized) compared to total income of INR 54,907.4 million, loss from operations before exceptional items of INR 6,739.1 million, loss before share of loss from associate of INR 6,678.9 million, loss for the period of INR 6,678.9 million or INR 1.92 per basic and diluted share (not annualized) for the same quarter a year ago.
For the year to date, the consolidated company reported total income of INR 169,322.4 million, loss from operations before exceptional items of INR 14,500.2 million, loss before share of loss from associate of INR 14,416.1 million, loss for the period of INR 14,518.8 million or INR 3.74 per basic and diluted share (not annualized) compared to total income of INR 165,007.8 million, loss from operations before exceptional items of INR 12,844.1 million, loss before share of loss from associate of INR 12,135.7 million, loss for the period of INR 12,135.7 million or INR 3.57 per basic and diluted share (not annualized) for the same quarter a year ago.
Adani Power Limited is an India-based private-sector thermal power producer with an operating and upcoming capacity of approximately 16.85 gigawatts (GW).
