According to the Labor Department, producer prices in the USA fell by 0.1% on a reported basis in December 2023 compared with the previous month, but rose by 0.2% excluding food, energy and commercial services.

Over the last twelve months, producer prices rose by 1% on a reported basis and by 2.5% excluding food, energy and commercial services, following annual rates of 0.8% and 2.4% respectively in November.
