The Canadian dollar weakened against the greenback on Monday, and the yield on benchmark government debt slipped. The loonie was trading 0.2% lower at C$1.3506 to the greenback, or 74.04 U.S. cents, after trading in a range of 1.347 to 1.3508. Canadian government 10-year bond yields fell 2 basis points to 3.318%. The yield on similar U.S. government benchmark debt fell to 4.0807%. U.S. April crude futures fell 17 cents to $77.84 a barrel on Monday.
