PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwired - Jan 13, 2016) - Z'Tejas Southwestern Grill's new corporate giving program, Cornbread for A Cause, launched in December raised a total of $37,893 for Phoenix Children's Hospital Foundation and Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas. Funds were raised from sales of Z'Tejas famous cornbread in December. PCHF will receive $23,772 from Z'Tejas five Phoenix, AZ locations and $14,121 from three Austin, TX, locations.

"We are extremely grateful and humbled by all the support and positive response from our guests with the first Z'Tejas Cornbread for A Cause fundraising program this December," said Gary Manley, General Partner at Z'Tejas. "Dell Children's and Phoenix Children's are two organizations that are making a positive impact in our community and we are proud to have them as beneficiaries for our first Cornbread for A Cause."

Right on the heels of a successful debut to raise funds for charities, Z'Tejas Cornbread for A Cause continues in its mission by raising funds for Brokers for Kids/Agents Benefiting Children and Cheyanna's Champions 4 Children (CC4C) through proceeds from cornbread sales at their Phoenix and Austin locations respectively. Z'Tejas famous cornbread is freshly-made and priced at $3 per order.

Brokers for Kids/Agents Benefiting Children is a year-long fundraising effort by commercial and residential real estate professionals throughout the Phoenix Valley. Funds raised throughout the year goes to Scottsdale Active 20-30 Club, a nonprofit established by young professionals whose mission is to help underserved children in the community.

CC4C is the only charitable organization in Texas to bring hope, help, and inspiration to families of children suffering from rare or undiagnosed medical conditions. Funds raised help cover medical costs not covered by insurance. CC4C uses their financial resources to help reduce time to diagnosis. Children are also matched with a Champion Teammate (celebrity or world-class athlete) and high school sports teams to help empower them with visions of their recovery finish lines, while providing unforgettable and unique experiences for the child that would otherwise be impossible.

"We are excited to start 2016 by partnering with Brokers for Kids/Agents Benefiting Children and CC4C. Two charities that are making a big difference for children in need of medical and financial assistance in our community," added Manley.
